life's challenge.

Seth Godin on The Great Discontent

“The opportunity of a lifetime is to pick yourself. Quit waiting to get picked; quit waiting for someone to give you permission; quit waiting for someone to say you are officially qualified and pick yourself. It doesn’t mean you have to be an entrepreneur or a freelancer, but it does mean you stand up and say, ‘I have something to say. I know how to do something. I’m doing it. If you want me to do it with you, raise your hand.’”

i am a bridesmaid.

My brother is getting married to an amazing girl. Therefor she deserves an amazing bachelorette!
The other bridesmaids and I have come up with the idea of throwing a theatrically themed bachelorette.
Nina's last performance before her next feature, 'Married Life'.

different angle.

I am studying to be an Art director at AAA School of advertising, and currently loving it!
Yet...
I have so many people telling me that I am just going to be selling lies, promoting all that is wrong in the
world & that I will end up taking Cocaine.

Yes there is that side to advertising, known as BAD Advertising.
(And I can never do Cocaine as I am allergic to Codene in Myprodole, which is apparently in Cocaine. Just saying.) There is so much room for great advertising or should I say entertainment that can really put a smile on peoples diles and actually make a positive difference.

C'maaan people- lets quit on the negativity!

bicycle conversations.

Most people know that I have an absolute love for bicycles- the old school ones of course. They have so much quirk and the ones with the basket make my day. You are welcome to call me silly. But... don't speak too quickly. These awesome inventions are not only super cute and styling but they can really get a conversation going. I recently got my dream internship, by chatting about my love for bicycles in the interview.

Moral of the story; quit holding back on your passions, as quirky as they can be!

keep it clean cut.

There is nothing more flattering than a 'clean cut'! Frills can be great, but there is a time and place for them...where as the classic clean cut can be dressed up or down very easily. Just saying.

across the waters.

Brooklyn Bridge really is a creative master piece. If only we weren't moving towards the cubism movement in design and still paid such attention to detail.
contrast.

If I were to live in New York for that year or two, I would definitely want to live in Bryant Park. I love the contrast with the built up skyscrapers and the somewhat mystical trees.

Bryant Park was the first place I went to when I arrived in New York. Myself and two friends had the privilege to sit under those mystical trees, drink a vanilla latte from Starbucks and listen to the OXFORD alternatives acappella group.
